Featured on ESPN GameDay with Eric Church

We were invited to have the Crimson Tide tailgating truck on ESPN GameDay in T-town this past weekend. Towards the end of the show, the producers informed us that Eric Church, this week’s celebrity guest, would be making his show entrance from our truck. Watch the full Eric Church segment below and keep reading to see how the day unfolded – including getting Eric Church’s signature on the truck.

We managed to get in touch with the producers of ESPN Gameday and told them about the truck we had built. To my surprise, they said they’d love to have it on the set. We came in Friday night to setup. The truck was definitely a hit. People loved the view from the top as well as the interior. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Towards the end of the show, the produces approached us and said, “Get as many people as you’re comfortable with on top and get a bunch of people in front of the truck. Eric Church is going to make his entrance from your truck.” Our response? Uh, ok!

We packed out the truck with about 30 people on top (and she held up great) and lined the front with a bunch of people. The word spread fast. Once Eric Church entered the truck, I shook his hand, told him I loved his music and asked him to sign the counter top. Yes, the counter top. And he wasn’t shy about it. He signed it big! I gave him a big thank you and walked out to video his exit.

What a day! We never expected to get the truck on GameDay, let alone have it featured with Eric Church making his GameDay entrance. Then to top it off with a signature. I’d call it a successful day, minus the Ole Miss victory.
